Ask any parent about raising their children & I'm sure they would say it's the most challenging & rewarding job they are fortunate to have.
Unfortunately there is no step by step instruction manual to follow on raising the perfect child, nor does the perfect child even exist, although we all think our children are adorable, depending on the day! If you are a parent of more than one child you will realise that each one has a different personality & quite often they can be as opposite as chalk & cheese. Each child must be treated as an individual & raised accordingly.
I'd like to encourage you all to strive to raise empowered children. Ones that are prepared to give anything a go, because they know you will support them through their trials & tribulations whether they succeed or fail as they attempt to reach their goals & dreams. Please do not push your young ones to grow up too quickly. Let them grow up & experience each day, hopefully taking something positive into the next.
It's really important to not put your unrealistic expectations or push your goals on your child. Let them take their own small steps forward to develop their skills & passions. Over the years their dreams & goals will change as they experience new things & life's challenges.
Sometimes things can get a bit difficult to manage with all the demands placed on our young ones growing up, and that's where I would like to be able to guide you. Don't be afraid to ask for help to ensure the best decision is made for your child.
